If you are willing to devote even just a few minutes a day to improving your aptitude for exhilaration and mastery, this book is guaranteed to create instantaneous and radical change in your life.Phil Callaghan, NLP Trainer and Coach wrote:I’ve often heard NLP described as ‘the back door to Ritual Magick’. I’d consider [The Book of Exhilaration and Mastery] to be a good key to that door… In my opinion, it’s a great first step for anyone who wants to embark on the Magickal Path.Philip H. Farber is a writer, hypnotist, NLP trainer, ritualist, and consciousness explorer. He is best known for his book on ritual magick, FutureRitual: Magick for the 21st Century and as the creator of meta-Magick, a system of practice combining elements of magick, NLP, hypnosis, and more.Other products available here:Phil Farber – Magick for the 21st Century Farber – How to be a meglomaniac H Farber – meta-Magick Podcasts is Magick? The general impression of magick that many people have, acquired from a lifetime of movies, TV shows, and novels, is of something primarily paranormal. That is, a wielder of magick will surely have the ability to cast fireballs from his or her fingertips, levitate small (or large) objects, fly with no visible means of support, and perform numerous other feats that fall squarely into the category of “special effects.”  Now I know there are some magicians who are special effects masters, but the main thrust of “magick,” as we are discussing it here, is as a mental discipline. It is a means of first perfecting the self so that the things that one may do will be done with power and effectiveness. This has always been the aim of magick: to understand the relationship between our consciousness and the world, in a way that allows us to re-create ourselves in healthy and practical ways. Our understanding and self-perfection allows us to fit into the world so well that we can influence it in accordance with our will. Does this mean that magick is not the paranormal ability that we see in movies? It means that magick always works through the laws and channels of the universe. It means that much of what we do or experience as magick will occur through known channels. It is arrogant, however, to think that we know anywhere near all of these laws and channels. It means that some of what we do as magick will surprise us in ways that we cannot now predict. There’s plenty of opportunity for awe, wonder, and the miraculous. What is meta-Magick?More traditional forms of magick start by teaching rituals or techniques that have been handed down from adepts of old. These rituals are modified with each generation, but remain in essence the same. Many of these rituals and techniques are very effective and powerful for most people who practice them. Many of the rituals work well for some, but not all of the people who practice them. And some of the rituals are taught simply because it is traditional to do so, regardless of whether they do anything or not. meta-Magick begins differently, with the observation and modeling of day-to-day human behavior that proves magical. We create magick  spells, sigils, talismans, rituals  in any number of ways that are so much a part of daily life that we often take them for granted. By identifying these existing elements of our daily behavior, we can learn to create new rituals of heightened power and beauty. This is most likely how many of the traditional rituals also originated, back in another time. The demons and entities described in the old grimoires were the personal experiences of some practitioner, way back when. The rituals used to perfect the self were based on someone’s personal experience, somewhat closer to the dawn of time. The roots of meta-Magick are diverse. It has been influenced by by Neuro-linguistic Programming (NLP), martial arts, applied kinesiology, hypnosis, Afro-Caribbean spirituality, yoga,Taoism, neuro-scientific discoveries, and much more, in addition to Western esoteric traditions. These tools and systems are applied to the tasks of uncovering, observing, and replicating phenomena in ways that can be calibrated and tested. This results in a collection of diverse behaviors, techniques, and patterns that can be combined in creative ways, resulting in new rituals, works of art, entities, schools of thought, new paradigms and so on. “meta” means “above” or “beyond,” and “meta-Magick” is magick that enables us to think about magick and produce magick. It is magick about magick. With the techniques of meta-Magick, we all become the creators of our own traditions, the originators of our own magick. With practice, these become just as rich as – or even richer than – the historical traditions. With techniques of meta-Magick, exploring and making use of your own magick becomes a simple and enjoyable process.Presently, meta-Magick exists as a body of about 100 exercises and rituals, most of them found in The Book of Atem, The Book of Exhilaration and Mastery, and the Magick for the 21st Century DVD set. Many of these exercises can be practiced alone and many are intended to be practiced with others. The ideal method of learning and exploring meta-Magick is in the context of an ongoing practice group. If you wish to join a practice group or start one in your area, consider attending an afternoon or weekend meta-Magick seminar first. The Book of Exhilaration and Masteryby Philip H. FarberINTRODUCTIONThere is a simple secret to the mastery of every human life and activity. As simple as it is, this secret is rarely taught and is mostly buried and obscured by the complexities and trivia of our daily lives. It is, in fact, its simplicity and even obviousness that allows it to be hidden in plain sight. As we grow from infants to adults, our ideas about ourselves are shaped, encouraged, discouraged, built up, torn down, honed, mutilated, perfected, and generally accumulated from everything and everyone we come in contact with. Our parents, teachers, friends, relatives, heroes, politicians, and the media offer us an endless stream of conflicting advice about what we should do with our lives and who we should be. Some of this advice makes good sense for some people, some of the time. Some of it is pure cultural detritus, wisdom that may have been useful in another time and place but may only be a hindrance in our own lives. Some of it is just plain wrong. We follow advice from all these sources  we go to school, take jobs, associate with friends, and form relationships based on the information given to us. And yet, for most of us, we are left feeling unhappy and unsatisfied with the results of these choices. Our jobs keep us alive, more or less financially solvent. Our relationships provide us with companionship, sex, and families, to a greater or lesser degree of satisfaction. But it is rare that any human distinguishes him or herself in a way that could be called mastery. The list of people who have excelled in any given field is usually quite small and the rest of us simply follow in the footsteps of these giants. Most of us in our culture live a life characterized by activities that go no further than survival and distraction. We spend most of our time working to make ends meet and to entertain ourselves in the meantime. The outcome of this way of life is a cultural epidemic of depression, chemical dependency, and stagnation. There is much more to life than simply working and dying. Most of us grow up and grow old without ever understanding that we have formed our existence based on the ideas of others  and that there may be something else, something beyond cultural expectations and the roles that have been given to us by our families and society.Every single one of us has the potential for exhilaration and mastery. Every human being on this planet has the ability to rise above our current self concept. The secret, again, is a simple one that has been stated again and again, hidden in plain sight in the philosophies of every society that has existed on Planet Earth. The key to mastery exists not in what others have told us, but in the information that is inherent within us. The secret to mastery comes from within, from the knowledge in the cells of your body, your DNA, your own internal connections to the universe at large. The following four sections of this book offer methods to access that crucial internal information in a systematic way. The exercises given are simple. Practicing them with your full attention and with an open mind will allow you to get the most exhilarating and surprising results. This is your guide to finding out the truth about yourself and then using that information to change and improve your life. Are you ready to take the leap?I bought this. So you may keep this exclusive.
