Billy Graham marvels at technology’s power to improve lives and change the world — but says the end of evil, suffering and death will come.  He is a religious leader with a worldwide reach.  He declared he’s doing his preaching not out of belief but out of habit.  He touched on two things: Pascal’s wager and the Fear of death.First: choose to believe, make the intelligent most advantageous choice, because if you believe you have nothing to lose, and everything to gain in case it’s true. Dignified choice, indeed.  All about moral courage.Second: believe out of fear, believe so that you don’t face the sad truth that death is the end forever and not just a passage to somewhere else. Both propositions imply lying to oneself. And who’s there more qualified to give that advice than Graham himself.  In short, a very coherent stand.www.ted.com
