Description

“If the doors of perception were cleansed every thing would appear to man as it is, infinite. For man has closed himself up, till he sees all things through narrow chinks of his cavern.” – William Blake, The Marriage of Heaven and HellThis book has made me understand more about my consciousness than anything else I’ve read on the subject. Unlike most authors who try to tackle the subject using pop-psychology, Huxley does so in a deeply introspective manner (and also unlike pop-psychologists that sell to middle-aged wives dealing with mid-life crises, he has a brilliant way with words). It’s not for everyone, as it’s a relatively heavy read, but I hope at least some will find this as profound as I did
