I tested and while it’s not perfect it comes out quite readable — the paragraphs are intact. I don’t have any intermediary .doc files, it’s all the original html files scraped from the site. I wrote several perl scripts to clean the html files and prepare building scripts for each category, I haven’t done any manual work. I then used an excellent open source “prince” software to compile these html files into the pdf files. I’ve been looking for good software to build epub/mobi files directly from multiple html files but I’m not happy with any of the results yet.
