Paul Greenhill- Beginner OG Shadow Grappling.iso

Description

This is an older dvd from 2009-10 I think, but the content is very good. It has a lot of “shadow” otherwise known as solo drills.  I found the section on working sprawls to be good since it’s been easier on my body. OG stands for old grapplers. So Paul Greenhill’s stuff is geared for people trying to maximize training while minimizing damage to their bodies  Having trouble getting your butt off the mat quickly to finish your opponent with the perfect triangle or Armbar?  The triangle/Armbar drill will eliminate that problem (as well as give you a core muscle group body workout)Discover how “diagonal shrimping” differs from “regular shrimping” and can help you build a solid guard defense (making it virtually impossible for opponents to successfully pass your guard)Do you know a systematic way to break your opponent’s posture when inside your guard or do you just grab hold, squeeze tight, and pray for the best?  Once you learn this guard posture breaking sequence, your grabbing and squeezing days are overDiscover the 8 control point to establish, control and finish every opponent from the mount positionCreate space and distance between you and your opponent by with the snake movement (making you more evasive against opponents)Learn an one-man Armbar drill from the mount that will make you an immediate “armbar machine” (finishing every opponent as soon as they lift their arms up to push you off the mount position)Learn gripfighting basics that most BJJ schools don’t know or teach (and the drills that will show you how to control and dominate your opponents)Learn how a simple, but very effective hand movement can stop your opponent from passing your guardDiscover the gripfighting “windshield wiper” (and how it’s used to create takedown openings)Ever heard of the 3PP Concept?  Once you learn it, your opponents will hate the fact that you did(as you literally drain the energy and the will to fight from their bodies)Discover how the “prayer position” helps you to transition quickly from guard opening to guard passing (while keeping your opponent from re-establishing a closed guard)Discover the “easiest” side control escape technique that NO GRAPPLER can resist when appliedHave trouble with slowing down heavier opponents when you’re on top? Find out how the “grinder” turns heavier opponents into mushHave problems escaping from the north-south position when your opponent’s on top?  Learn this simple escape and you’ll NEVER have that problem again (while frustrating your opponent because of their inability to hold you down from that position)How household furniture can be used as an effective guard passing training toolDiscover how to use a bicycle seat to master the rear naked chokeLearn how to develop the proper mat-titude to keep from being a victim of “mat intimidation” (at the academy and at a tournament)Do you get stuck with your opponent mounted on top of you?  Learn how an “earthquake” can get you out of the mount (and back to a safe control position like the guard)Have you ever heard of “the gate” while taking the back?  If not, then that’s probably the main reason why you keep giving up your back position.  Learn how to “close your gate” (and stop being the back mount dummy in class)Hate being put in the knee-on-belly position?  You won’t anymore once you learn one of the easiest escapes from this positionFind out why the “hook slide” makes taking your opponent’s back easier (especially when they don’t know how to close their “gate”Hate doing sprawls because of the high impact when you dive into the mat?  You won’t anymore once you learn this “OG Sprawl” DrillDiscover how breaking your opponent’s grips can nullify their takedowns (allowing you to impose your will on them with your own gripfighting skills)Ever taken an opponent’s back, could ONLY get in one hook, and lost the dominant position? learn how to establish full back control with only one hook (shocking your opponent right before the finish)Find out how an umbrella can help you to master the Armbar and Kimura techniques. plus, lots more
