Some exercises to fire up these connections are board games, debating others, taking courses, adding variety to your daily tasks, listening to meditative music, being in nature and listening to its sounds. There are things you can do with your diet. Drinking coffee is good, backpacking and even chewing gum. The author goes deeply into the whys of firing up your brain and the how to do it too.4.0 out of 5 stars All kinds of good advice to keep your brain healthyBy Vincent on December 18, 2015Format: Kindle Edition Verified PurchaseI can honestly say I agree with most of these practices, that’s why I think it deserves 4 stars. And it definitely deserves stars for saying that you should quit drinking alcohol and smoking. All kinds of good advice to keep your brain healthy. However, I strongly disagree with the advice to drink coffee. I don’t think the author did enough research on the damaging effects thereof, but it’s an enjoyable read nonetheless. Great advice (except for the coffee one), and well put together.
