Unable to efficiently execute small daily tasks or realize big long term ambitions? Do your goals seem impossibly distant dreams? Is your world lop sided in which parts are on a high and others on a permanent low? Dread going home to the physical and emotional mess that awaits you? Feel like you’ve no control over much of what happens in your day?Do you want to change things starting now? Understand what’s actually going on in your life and gain the clarity of mind that comes from order? Become more productive, efficient, present and successful personally and professionally?BiographyI’m Bethany Joyson. Seeking to pass on the lessons life’s challenges have taught me is why I write and why I’m here.Having lived rock bottom in all its glory, I’ve had to rebuild from an empirical space and have thus become well acquainted with the anatomy of failure and success. Whilst at times this seemed like an impossibly difficult process and nothing existed except my pain, despair and frustration, the ultimate reward was my being enriched powerfully and permanently with the insight and tools it takes to craft and enjoy a productive, contented and successful life and maintain it.Happily married now with two children to call my own, the many phases life’s thrown at me have ultimately done nothing but guide and strengthen. I was helped to a certain extent throughout but I always wished there was someone out there to transmit their authentic life lessons to me armed with which I could face anything. This will be my exclusive endeavor throughout my writing career.Outside of writing, I have a full time corporate career, am besotted with my family and pursue a variety of interests including politics, tennis and travel. Please connect with me further at www.cognitivetruth.orgAmazon Reviews:4.0 out of 5 stars Bethany joyson vs Marie KondoBy Kimberly on January 18, 2016FINALLY a fitting retort to Kondo’s unreal perspective. Bethany Joyson vs Marie Kondo. The fight is on!!If you’re an adult with the mind of a Japanese teenager, middle child issues and obsessive compulsive disorder, read Kondo’s book. Also get yourself to a shrink! If however you’re a fully formed adult with grown up sensibilities; family, responsibilities, hobbies etc, who needs help in this area as they have too much stuff and is willing to do everything necessary to reinvent from the ground up, this is the book for you.1.0 out of 5 stars but who talks like this? By the time I read half the …By Country Cow Girl on February 28, 2016I’m sorry, but who talks like this? By the time I read half the book I was wore out and I hadn’t organized anything. I found a typo early in the introduction and found it discerning that another author was badmouthed by this author in the introduction. Huh? How is badmouthing someone else an introduction to her ideas? If your method for being organized is complicated and contains lists miles long, it probably “ain’t gonna work.” And who can get organized in seven days? That too “ain’t gonna work” because it takes 25 to 30 days to make a habit, a true habit. You’re gonna burn out long before seven days is up because you’re overwhelmed and overworked, not to mention, who has enough time to organize your entire life in seven days? You can organize all you want, but if you don’t ingrain some organizational habits into your life, it’s gonna last. I highly suggest you look at FlyLady.com. She tells you to start small, to start with one habit, which will make you feel good and want to continue, to add a new habit, and to spend fifteen minutes here and there. Her method WORKS. I know, I’ve tried it, I quit, then I went back because I found out she was RIGHT, It’s so subtle, you don’t realize how well it’s working until you get up one morning and go “Wow . . . this is MY house . . .” That, or realize, you don’t have three thousand things to do today, just this, this, and this, and then you can go play.FlyLady also handles the why of why we’re not organized, confronts “stinkin’ thinkin'” head on, perfectionism, clutter, and tells you, “you’re not behind, you just need to jump in where you are”. She helps you create habits that will stick with you a life time and faster than one would think, you will find that your house is gradually becoming organized in 15 minute projects. Each little progression puts a smile on your face. She also promotes pampering yourself, promotes feeling good about yourself, and she changes attitudes and lives. If you have a mess, you didn’t make it in seven days, and seven days isn’t going to cure it, or fix it, seven days isn’t going to make you into an organized person. Seven days of this book’s advice is going to cause you to crash and burn and you’ll be right back where you started.5.0 out of 5 stars I’d been looking for something like this for a long time and found Bethany Joyson’s …By Lauren T on February 16, 2016This book has changed my life. I’d been looking for something like this for a long time and found Bethany Joyson’s approach is very natural and relatable. She set things out clearly and intuitively. I knew where to start, what to look for and what to aim for.The concept of going after my cognitive truth has been really big for me. And not just in my wanting to organize my stuff and day but in many other areas where it naturally started to apply itself which was amazing to me.Even after reading it twice and applying a lot of it already, I still feel I have many months to go before I can start to fully appreciate and enjoy the concepts she’s explained.I can’t recommend this book enough if you need help as I did.5.0 out of 5 stars Worth reading and worth recommendingBy Drei Blatche on October 21, 2015Format: Kindle Edition Verified PurchaseThis is such an impressive book for all! I found this is going to be very helpful tool to use myself once I no longer need to wear a special black boot. I would recommend this for anyone. Especially those who may be into collecting and collecting items for a very long time. For young and old alike. Because this was so detailed in packed into such simple and short time spans and stress free organizing project I fee it needs to have a five star rating. I received this as a free gift from the author in order to finish reading this book so I could do this part as well to let you know this is the tool for those who prefer a simple stress free project to De clutter one’s home or office or both. So much worth recommending.5.0 out of 5 star Organize your home and your lifeBy Iben Cruz on November 6, 2015A good book in teaching you ways on how to start decluttering your life and surroundings so you can achieve a more peaceful and organized living. Personally, I really hate clutter around my house. However, I have people living with me in the house so it’s somewhat unavoidable to see clutter most of the time. I just became tolerant about it, but given the chance to live in my own house with no one around but me? It will be very organize bordering to being hypochondriac. I probably should give this to my housemates so that they can learn a thing or two about organizing their own mess around the house. This is an easy and fun to read anyway so they won’t have any excuse to feel lazy reading. I recommend the tips and tricks presented in this book, some I’m already practicing prior to reading this book.5.0 out of 5 stars A must read for messy people everywhere!By C. Brant on November 9, 2015I know what you are thinking. You are a messy person who just was born that way. Well, let me tell you that I also am a messy person and this book changed my complete view on the nature of mess and disorganization. The first thing Bethany hits is the important effects of decluttering. This is especially important since if you are going to change you need to understand what you have to gain. Then, she goes in for the on the ground day by day plan for getting control of your house. By the end of the 7th day, I really felt like a new person. The organization and ideas are fantastic. This is a must read for messy people everywhere!
