The Story of O Pauline RéageIt is a story about bondage and discipline, dominance and submission, and sado masochism. A true BDSM story. O is the girlfriend of René, and as the story begins it is obvious that they already have that kind of relationship. She is taken to a house at Roissy, in effect a ‘men’s club’ where she stays for a while, and becomes available to all in the house, at her lover’s request. This might seem odd to modern women, and something to be seen as wrong, but all through the book she is given the chance to leave if she wishes. She decides to stay, and eventually is introduced to Sir Stephen, René’s stepbrother. Gradually the relationships change, René becomes intrigued with another woman, and O falls in love with Sir Stephen and is ‘given’ to him by her lover. Although there is not a great deal of explicit sex in this book, there is a lot of bondage and discipline. For those that do not know, this involves tying her up, and beating her. This is NOT wife beating, it is fully consentual. She is often asked if she wants to leave, but she choses to stay, as she likes it.
