The founder of byakuren, bodyguard to the shorinji kempo founder, was thrown out of shorinji kempo for entering kyokushin tournaments to test his skills.Today, Byakuren is very similar in formal style to kyokushin, and indistinguishable in fighting techniques.Not everything in the vid is allowed in competitions. some would be fouls under normal knockdown rules.  But the rules are limitations on which parts of the style you are allowed to use in tournaments, not limitations on what exist in the style (and there are other rules than knockdown, where it is allowed).
