Description

Eliana Gilad – Rhythms of the Natural Voice (2001)The essence of all matter is sound. Vocal sound is the human instrument. It is our means of connecting with others and communicating with the outside world. The voice reflects our physical, mental, emotional, and spiritual states. The more we are attuned to and aware of our voice, the better we are able to use it for our good and that of others. As we are able to connect with ourselves and our true natural voice, the better we are able to live and connect with others in the world. Eliana Gilad is an internationally recognized expert in the conscious use of voice and rhythm as a natural healer, as they were used in ancient times. Gilad has performed at the United Nations, where she was publicly acknowledged for “helping so many people around the world.” She has presented her unique wordless vocal music throughout the US, Canada, Israel, and Europe. Voices of Eden music has been researched by Dr. Masaru Emoto of What the Bleep Do We Know!? fame, as well as in an Israeli neonatal ward (50% Jewish/50% Arab) by physicians who discovered that the music lowers blood pressure and heart rate, in addition to increasing mental focus and improving the quality of sleep.Gilad and Emoto presented together at the 2003 international Thank Water convention in the Galilee. Recently, she hosted a healing music event with the screening of What the Bleep Do We Know!? Gilad is a frequent keynote presenter at peace conferences, including the 2003 UNESCO International Conference in Nazareth and the 2005 World Puja Day of Peace live web-cast. Her music provides a peaceful bridge between Arab and Jewish populations, as both find it relaxing. Gilad makes peace tours to the US, Europe and Cyprus two to three times a year.At the Voices of Eden Healing Music Center, which she founded in the hills of Galilee, Gilad teaches a Sacred Healing Music Course. Groups also come to enjoy concerts, workshops, and a monthly meditation and open house in this setting overlooking beautiful Lake Tiberius.Gilad’s musical inspiration has been influenced by the great composers of classical and folk music from the Eastern and Mediterranean worlds, as well as Western artist Bobby McFerrin, with whom she appeared on stage during his 1997 tour to Israel.Rhythms of the Natural VoiceA guided musical meditation with Eliana Gilad and Bobby Mc Ferrin singing in ancient Hebrew. Recommeded for workshop leaders, yoga teachers and students. The fundamental power of sound, rhythm and the Hebrew language is used as a natural healer. This unique blend of eastern rhythm and western melody has proven to reduce stress and improve concentration. The disc includes two vocal meditations: one using the mystic Hebrew language, the other, guided vocal tones, as well as musical compositions which can be used for releasing tension and stress.A vocal chant with eastern percussion and a “mawal” (improvisation) follows each meditation. The base rhythm of “The Shechina” is seven. The rhythmic chant, “Song of the Heart” supports meditation in movement, as done in the Sufi tradition. “Voices of Eden” is a method combining the power of voice and rhythm as a natural healer, such as was used in ancient times. Eastern percussion is used to ground the body. Voice and melody are used to release tension. This leaves the listener relaxed and focused. It reverberates healthily on all levels of our conscious and unconscious life. Results increase with repeated listening.—–search for Skye71 to see my other uploads
