Occuring each summer in Sweden since 1982, it is probably the largest and most well known dance camp of its kind in the world. For five weeks, there are countless classes, workshops, and dances covering the whole range of swing and its off-shoots.Each year a video is produced with a movie depicting that year’s camp, and videos of many of the instructors summarizing the moves that they taught or just social dancing. These aren’t teaching videos per se in that they do not break down each move and explain them. Instead, many have the feel of a video taken at the end of a dance workshop where the teachers are showing all the moves that they taught and it is up to the students to pause the video as needed and use them to study. The social dancing clips are really nice because you get to see how some exceptional dancers interpret the music and improvise various moves.This is the video for Herrang 2009.
