Description

As well as being the author of The Spiritual Basis of Real Prosperity: How to Always Be in the Flow of Resources and Supportive Events and Relationships for Your Highest Good and many other books, Roy Eugene Davis is a very interesting man.He maintains that the ability to “live effectively” – i.e. to be constantly in the flow of abundance and everything to one’s highest good – is just a byproduct of being on the path to enlightenment. He believes it is through meditation that we can come to see ourselves as we really are and experience our full powers. Once we reach that stage we can create our reality by the use of intention and imagination. In this video interview he explains the importance of meditation in our development.  Quote:Roy Eugene Davis (born 9 March 1931) is an American spiritual teacher and author. He is associated with the kriya yoga tradition and is a direct disciple of the Indian guru Paramahansa Yogananda. He was born in Leavittsburg, Ohio, and grew up in a farming community. In his early teenage years he frequented the public library, reading books on psychology, philosophy, and yoga. When he was 18 years of age, he read Paramahansa Yogananda’s book Autobiography of a Yogi and immediately sensed a spiritual connection with Yogananda and the kriya yoga tradition. In December 1949, he traveled to Los Angeles, California, to meet with Yogananda and was accepted for monastic discipleship training.Davis was ordained by his guru in 1951 and was appointed as the minister of the Phoenix, Arizona, Self-Realization Fellowship Center. Following the death of Yogananda in 1952, Davis left SRF in 1953. After spending two years in the U.S. Army medical department he started travelling all over the U.S. and in Europe, India and Japan as an independent spiritual teacher. Toward the end of the sixties he settled in Lakemont, Georgia, where he was invited to be the director of a spiritual organization (Christian Spiritual Alliance). After a few years he became the head of the organization and changed its name into “Center for Spiritual Awareness”. The organization has small meditation groups in the United States, Canada, Africa and Europe.By the way, if you go to http://www.csa-davis.org/pages/freelit.html you can request a free literature packet which includes An Easy Guide to Meditation, a 48-page booklet by Roy Eugene Davis.
