But once you’re a Kettlebell Black Belt, then what?Well, say hello to Return of the Kettlebell, which takes it for granted you already own those Black Belt fundamentals—and offers you a dramatically tougher, yet highly systematic program for explosive and massive muscle gain.Return of the Kettlebell ‘s protocols were born from Pavel’s insights while training elite power athletes. Several champions made astonishing, almost mysterious, strength and muscle gains—at least two broke new powerlifting world records—thanks to kettlebell training. Pavel decided to reverse engineer this “What the Hell” effect experienced by the champions—so all others could benefit from their success.Return of the Kettlebell presents the final fruit of Pavel’s research—combining the very best of ancient lifting wisdom with modern day scientific breakthroughs.Central to Pavel’s new program for explosive muscle gain is the skillful use of double kettlebells. Discover smokers like the Double Clean, classic strength builders like the Double Snatch and Double Press and enjoy the supreme intensity of the Double Clean and Jerk. But just mastering the double kettlebell methods alone will hardly take you to the Promised Land of consistent, long-lasting and massive muscle gain. And here’s where Pavel delivers the key plans and training schedules, designed according to the breakthrough Russian “block system”—plus a slew of vital tips—to ensure you continue to gain and gain and gain.Like the Breakfast of Champions, consume what’s on the Return of the Kettlebell menu and watch yourself grow—and grow!”Return of the Kettlebell is a training DVD. A true training DVD. As a trainer I go to seminars, watch DVDs, and read any and everything I can to provide a better product to my clients. Return of the Kettlebell has concepts, techniques, instruction, do’s and dont’s, and application. Bring a pen and paper and let Pavel be your teacher, you’ll be better for it when you go back to the gym whether it’s for your own workouts or those of your clients-see “victims’.Oh, and Pavel actually smiles and even laughs a couple of times which is worth the price of admission alone!”—Gunnar Peterson C.S.C.S., author of Core Secrets and The Workout”The Return of the Kettlebell DVD is the best kettlebell resource I’ve seen to take your physique and performance to the next level. Pinpoint technique is essential to your success, and Pavel knows it. He shows each exercise from every angle and explains what you should and shouldn’t do to get the greatest reward. This DVD, plus hard work, equals your best body.”—Chad Waterbury, neurophysiologist, author of Huge in a Hurry”Return of the Kettlebell is filled with top notch information and goes deep under the surface of what you may expect from the title. For example, Pavel dives into such intricacies as proper breathing, the reasons he recommends using the “open V” with the handles on the set up for double kettlebell cleans, and the benefits of the uneven weighted press. He also includes a section on the nuances of hip flexor stretching and how to make it more effective. The production quality of the DVD is first rate and superb. The demonstrations are incredibly thorough and include all of the do’s and dont’s of multiple double kettlebell movements. In typical Pavel style, he goes into great detail on proper technique and performance with an emphasis on movement quality. Many unique movements are also shared such as the front raise snatch and no stone is left unturned in the discussion of the proper performance of the famed Viking Push Press. If Enter the Kettlebell took you to black belt — RTK will make you an expert!”—Alwyn Cosgrove, author of The New Rules of Lifting”I think I must preview two to five DVDs a month. I often simply don’t have the time, but I am glad to do this work as I feel it keeps me up to date and I get a chance to hone my skill set as an instructor. To be honest, some are beautifully made but woeful in content and others seem like the old family films we made when I was young. In other words, they are fun to watch but a little shaky. One thing I practically never do is watch them twice. And, for sure, I never watch them the night I come home from a 14 hour track meet. And, and anyone who knows me will tell you this, I don’t get up early the next morning to watch it again! But, it happened. Pavel’s new Return of the Kettlebell is the DVD I have been waiting for since I first read about the Kbell in Milo Magazine. There were so many moments in the DVD when I thought: “Oh, that’s why.’ I “knew’ this stuff, but I didn’t “know why.’ Kenneth Jay and Pavel’s discussions reminds me of being there at an RKC or the gym when two great ones discuss the next level of how and why. The section on the Viking Press reflected the honest synergy of the two of them understanding the move at a deeper level. The devil is in the details, but it is simply interesting to see the small side discussion on “no heels” morph into an insight about proper training for all of us using kettlebells. The clarity of the little things impressed me. Typically, we see a short “do this’ with stretching, but I always miss the subtle points. Like my wife, Tiffini, says: “You are a lot of things. Subtle you’re not.’ I thought to myself as I watched “Oh, that’s what that means. Oh.’ The explanations of the double lifts aren’t just like what most of us do, and, yes, I include myself, where we grab the bells bang out a few reps and say “Yeah, do that and then I will show you a few more things.’ The whole squat progression, and honestly with a bit of pride I must say my athletes will recognize it, culminates in the first clear presentation of the squat ever done before for the home audience. Literally, you can “do this’ after watching and following along.A few words about Kenneth and Missy are appropriate. Clearly, the two are both in excellent shape, but I must applaud the attention to detail in their kbell work. It will make every trainer question their demonstrations. Also, the accompanying pdf booklet is also a “finally’ moment for me. For those of you who need a “hey, here you go’ workout, well, here you go.The Return of the Kettlebell DVD should be shown with the sound off to new people learning the system. It gives a vision of the path ahead. We are certainly in an exciting time in the kbell community, but this new DVD has set a new standard by which we can expect the quality of instruction to lead us.As a strength athlete and a coach, I applaud the effort and quality of this DVD. Although I am known for my hyperbole so I need to be careful here, but let me say this: if you only have one DVD on the shelf for the game of strength and conditioning, this is the DVD. I enthusiastically recommend this work without hesitation to anyone interested in any facet of fitness and health.Congrats Pavel, Kenneth and Missy for an inspiring work of art.”—Dan John, RKC Team Leader, author of Never Let Go”Enjoy.
