She started practicing yoga while studying abroad in Australia during college. She fell in love and ended up returning to the states and completed her first 200 hour teacher training on the Pacific Coast of Costa Rica. Since then, she has almost ten years and 1,000 hours of professional yoga training. Yoga was and still is like a best friend- a reminder to be present and enjoy being in your body. It led her to self-love, strength, and the ability to create a life she loves. Sharing the gift of yoga and witnessing her students’ personal transformation, inside and out, is an honor and a privilege for her.Source: The Yoga CollectiveAbout the class:Get ready to fly! A Level 3, 20-minute advanced class by Shayna Hiller, you’ll focus on strengthening the core and the arms while also learning how to better balance with the arms. Class style is Vinyasa.Flow from Crow Pose into handstand, with other yoga postures including Side Crow, Flying Pigeon, and Firefly. Side Crow, or parsva bakasana, is an arm balance pose that strengthens the wrist, forearms, and abdomen while improving balance. Flying Pigeon Pose, or eka pada galavasana, is a challenging posture that strengthens the wrists, shoulders, arms, and core while stretching the hips and legs. Firefly, or tittibhasana, is another challenging posture designed to stretch the inner groins, abdomen, and back torso while strengthening the arms and wrists, and improving sense of balance. These poses are not for beginners, so if still at the start of your practice, wait until you feel confident and strong enough to attempt them. Join Shayna on this 20-minute journey, and remember to bring your wings!Source: The Yoga CollectiveThis is possibly the most insane session I’ve done yet. Explore as many hand-balances as you can fit in 20 minutes. Remember Titibasana? She throws that in at about 4 minutes. Enjoy it, it’s the easy one. This is an arm balance bonanza. I couldn’t do it. But the dude in the back is my new hero. Come on, handstands on your fingertips?!It has no warmup, gets straight into it. Be warned, if you weren’t already.Level: Advancedstyle: VinyasaFocus: Arm Balancing, Strength, CoreVideo: x264-Main@L4; 1280*720 (16:9); 1818 Kbps; 23.976 fpsAudio: AAC-LC; 160 Kbps; 2 Ch; 48.0 Khz
