This is a great course if you seriously want to learn to play the piano quickly. It may be a bit dated, but it’s still the best course I could find anywhere, because it’s interactive and very well structured. The principle is simple: You just hook up your MIDI-capable keyboard (they start at about 29$) to your computer and you’re good to go. By the way, it also works with all USB-based keyboards I’ve seen. Then you are guided through different lessons, which are a combination of video, audio, diagrams and of course, actual pieces to practice playing. What really makes this thing stand out is that it tells you where you made mistakes and you are able to practice those areas or just the rhythm, just the melody, just your left hand etc.It starts with simple finger exercises and ends with some pretty advanced pieces that really make anyones jaw drop.
