Very good to do at the end of a workout when you are warmed up in order to increase flexibility.But very bad to do at the start of a workout to warm up … why?Because stretching before training has been proven to dramatically increase your risk of injury by reducing your strength potential and joint integrity.Loaded mobility on the other hand is when you take a joint to the end of it’s range of motion with the muscles loaded and under tension.That is an amazing way to warm up safely and in a way that prepares the muscles and nervous system for strength training.You can see in the pictures here, the first picture I’m doing a passive middle splits and the second picture I’m doing a loaded middle splits.
