Description

I noticed other users uploading these sessions, so I figured I’d add to their efforts by uploading the ones they missed. I’ll split them up so I can do the presentation nicely.Udaya and Venice Beach/Yoga Collective have a 12USD monthly subscription that gets access to their video collection, yoga sessions from their instructors and guest instructors. These are high quality HD 720p videos. Maybe we should do a GB sometime and get the whole collection? That would be a LOT of yoga!Keep in mind, every yoga teacher has their own style, they may not all fit yours, just try them out and don’t get discouraged.Ali Owens: Intermediate Flow (60 Minutes)About the instructor:Originally from Arizona, Ali moved to Los Angeles to attend the university of California, Los Angeles. She fell in love with the practice after taking a course in college. Upon completion of her degree she began practicing in various studios around LA where she found her vocation and completed her teacher certifications with The Yoga Collective and YogaWorks in Santa Monica.“Ali’s class is well balanced with thoughtful sequencing. The poses and counter-poses are perfect as she prepares your body for peak poses masterfully. She is able to find the exact words to help you approach your edge while keeping you safe with proper form and alignment. She is a warm, intelligent and friendly teacher with original insight into how yoga can work for you.” – Dean Miya, student.Stay connected with her at www.aliowens.com.Source: UdayaWhenever I hear Ali, she comes across as kind and forgiving. That would be a good thing, were it not that she’s my type, and all I can think about is cuddling on the couch. But as an instructor, she definitely gives off the impression she’s there to help her students get better.About the class:Ali gently guides through this practice, which includes twisting throughout. She will lead you into handstand while reminding you to practice patience, playfulness, and equanimity.Source: UdayaAs usual, the apex pose only takes up a few minutes of the session. If you’re looking for a more focused yoga handstand video, the session by Vytas uploaded in THIS product spends more time on it. But, although a real yoga handstand looks (and feels) awesome, it takes insane flexibility. You might be better off starting with gymnastic handstand videos from GMB or Coach Sommer. This session starts off slow and suddenly takes off halfway through. Many poses are chosen to benefit the eventual handstand. Forgiving John sweating profusely, it was a nice session.(I’m going to have to get the number for their interior decorator, love the scenery.)WARNING: It would appear that this session may be the same or similar to the one included in THIS product. Udaya does include videos from their products in their online library. Since I don’t have 19GB right now, I’m unable to verify, but keep it in mind if you have that product already.Level: Intermediate/AdvancedVideo: x264-Main@L4; 1280*720 (16:9); 1425 Kbps; 23.976 fpsAudio: AAC-LC; 160 Kbps; 2 Ch; 48.0 Khz
