Among the many organizations he works with are Dance Olympus and Dance Makers, Inc. He is celebrating his 25th year with Dance Olympus. Steven was honored in 1996 by being one of 18 choreographers selected to participate in the Jazz Dance World Congress held at the Kennedy Center in Washington D.C. Steven is also known for his civic work such as The Wiz on Durham Elementary School as a Neighborhood Arts Project through the Cultural Arts Council of Houston and Harris County. Steven also has his own performing company, Steven Boyd Dance Ensemble which will be starting its third full season.
