Outstanding resource on energy psychology and techniques. I have read many books on EFT and more than any others this book has struck a cord with me. It has really motivated me to apply these methods in my life. At certain points in our lives there seems to be certain people or books at come into your life that leads you to a path of change, this is one of those books. I have search for and tried may self-development/self-help methods in the past such as NLP,The Healing Codes, REBT and other cognitive-behavioral techniques but this book has not only lead me to think about self-development and personal change and why I keep searching but I have found a combination of tools to address those issues in a way that appears to be working for me for once. I am not naive enough to believe that this is a cure all and only time will tell about long-term personal change but I have found the authors Simple Energy Techniques (SET) to be invaluable and I combine SET with EFT’s set-up statements as a very effective one-two punch on any issues that I am working on. I am using their concept of “energy toning” on a daily basis and, surprisingly, I have found that when I am congested using SET will lead to partial to full relief of my symptoms within a short period of time. I do not even have to tap on the issue of being congested I just tap while I am reading or watching TV and I gain relief! Great book on energy psychology and I highly recommend it! It is a book that should be on the shelves of all EFT practitioners however experienced.The difference between EFT and SET is clearly set out and the form of SET is well presented. Despite its name, SET (Simple Energy Techniques) although admittedly `simple’ still stands as a useful tool in the tool box of therapists however skilled. There is little point in doing things the complex way, when the simpler way works just as well. In fact there are many advantages in doing it simply.The book is well written in their easy to digest style and is biased to the practical, although the theory is adequately covered. It is dotted through with a host of practical examples, which bring out specific teaching points as well as making it an easier and more interesting read.
