Chakra Dhyanaby Sri Krishnaraj BhagavaddasaThe Chakra Dhyana CD is a formulation of ancient Tibetan and India techniques of meditation. The music is perfect for the experience and well recorded. The chanting in the background is well done and the guided meditation is a joy to follow. I have added this to my daily practice. This is surely the best Chakra meditation CD I have found.The only reason it did not get that last star is that the description (including a note printed on the inside cover) says there is a free pdf ebook included with the purchase which can be downloaded from the given web site. It is not there. I contacted the web site who apologized and said that was an expired promotional item. That’s not good enough! But that’s what you get. It is a meditation on calling up Kundalini energy through the chakras, and is largely an active meditation (ie seated/alert) rather than one you would do while lying down/falling asleep. The Sanskrit chants can be heard in the background with the core mantras for each chakra in the foreground as you move through each. The mantra is used for awakening the different chakras and is in line with the indian version of the chakras which is probably closer to the truth than new ageie types. Personally i got this cd becuase its great to work with when your recieving deeksha. I have been practicing the mantra without the cd and the cd deffintatly helps more. It really opens you up and clears oput alot of stuff that may be holding you back. I reccomend doing this mentioned cd, kundalini yoga and recieving deeksha to really maximise the benifits.
