Description

Ok…right….last internal arts Easter egg…and the last Meredith video that is not on here as yet, to the best of my knowledge…enjoy…let a hundred flowers blossom, as old Mao said in ’57. LIAN GONG: Bare metal Internals demonstrates and explains 5 key methods for experiencing, developing, intensifying, directing and exploring the internal power of traditional Chinese martial arts. These methods are not for show or theatrical performance.   They are core drills incorporating simple-appearing but uniquely powerful “nei gong” (inner work) method that require very little space, no special equipment, no extraordinary athletic ability, but only the capacity to follow the directions and work the process. The human mind/body is a powerful energetic transformer system, but the potential is asleep in most. Learn how to wake up the power. The Drills:1: ACCUMULATE the power (dantian – Santishi Inner Activation)2: REBOUND the power (legs – Cat Step Shiko)3: CATCH the power (fist – Beng Quan Empty Punch)4: EXPLORE the power (Tiger Control)5: EXPLORE the power (Silk Reeling)Additional Training Points (for AFTER you’ve watched the film):* ARC DRILL #2 (Cat Step Shiko for REBOUND phase of ARC)In this drill, once you’re able to feel and experience the Cat Step Surge on every single rep, then experiment with the weight transfer phase. Between every pair of reps (left and right foot), you naturally must shift weight laterally to the newly loaded leg. During that shift there will be a moment of equal weight sharing, 50-50 between the legs. At that moment, if you can develop some initial sensitivity, you’ll experience a secondary ‘Central Surge’, which lights up your entire lower body and pelvis/hips with incredible, massive vibratory energy. You can very briefly and softly pause to deepen the annealing (permanent charging) effect of this Central Surge. To enhance the Central Surge even further, understand that you knees are always slightly bent in this Cat Step Shiko (refer to film demo again). It’s never any kind of deep squat like the finishing stage of a real Sumo shiko drill, but just a light relaxed natural bending of your knees as you perform the back and forth of the drill. So, as you briefly pause at the 50-50 Central Surge point, if you very slightly create a feeling of ‘standing up’ that is, taking out that slight knee bend, you will massively enhance the already very powerful Central Surge. That mental feeling of ‘wanting to stand up straight’ will put your mind in your feet, which will greatly amplify the REBOUND effect of the Cat Step Shiko energy.* ARC Drill #3 (Beng Quan Empty Punch for CATCH phase of ARC)In this drill, to further enhance the full body “anjin” or hidden energy wash, at the completion of each strike (punch), at the moment of the pseudo-“tightening” or mental (soft) fist clench, imagine that your striking fist is softly squeezing your rear foot or all of the rear leg. This will greatly amplify the anjin energy power wash that you’ll experience on the strike completion at each rep.
