Dr. Spezio is an assistant professor of psychology at Scripps College.Spezio appeared at USC on October 25, 2006 to speak about “Mindfulness in the Brain: A Study of Contemplative Practice in Relation to Neural Networks of Social Judgment and meta-Awareness” as part of the USC Templeton Lecture Series.Previously he was a postdoctoral scholar in social and affective neuroscience in the Division of the Humanities and Social Sciences and at the Brain Imaging Center at the California Institute of Technology.
