A warm, enthusiastic and dynamic speaker, Dr. Buscaglia reaches out to touch each member of his audience personally. 1979 (59:06)Leo Buscaglia, Ph.D., was a Professor of Education at the University of Southern California.  After spending several years as a special education teacher and administrator, Mr. Buscaglia applied for a university position.  During an interview, the dean of the college asked Mr. Buscaglia what he wanted to be doing in five years.  “I’d like to be teaching a class on Love,” he immediately replied.  The dean paused, cleared his throat, and asked, “And what else?”  As it turns out, Mr. Buscaglia realized his dream, going on to teach the first college class on Love.  He also wrote several widely-received books on human relationships.His programs on PBS became the biggest single money generator for Public Broadcasting through much of the 1980’s.
