This is an impressive book and tape set designed for the Danish beginner who is studying independently.  The thing with Danish is that once you get used to it, it’s a pretty simple and easy language, so while this is designed for beginners, by the time you’ve mastered this compact volume you will be quite far along in your progress towards fluency.  It doesn’t contain much information about Danish culture but the tiny amounts that it does contain are strictly related to the language lesson. The recommended amount of study time per day is one hour per day, so you can expect to spend roughly about 90 hours with this book and program in all (extrapolating from the title), and surely that will be a huge step in the right direction. There is plenty of depth to the content of this book, including some intermediate and advanced material.  The copyright on this is 1998, so it might not have all the latest lingo, but the core of the Danish language has not materially changed since it was published, so you should be just fine using this.  The book packs a ton of grammar and vocabulary, and there is ample audio to really get you used to hearing and speaking the language, too.  There are some translation exercises and reading comprehension passages that will teach you lots of Really robust little program!
