This is for all you health freaks out there like me. Highly reccomended. Here’s Dr. Chestnut’s bio:Dr. James L. Chestnut has been studying human wellness for over 20 years. He has a Bachelor of Physical Education degree, a Master of Science degree in exercise physiology with a specialization in neurological adaptation, and a Doctorate of Chiropractic. This combination of teaching, scientific research, and clinical experience makes Dr. Chestnut uniquely qualified both as a wellness doctor and as a lecturer who has the ability to interpret research and communicate it in an easily understandable and clinically applicable format. Dr. Chestnut received numerous academic scholarships and awards during his undergraduate and postgraduate programs and has the distinction of being the only graduate student to ever be granted the use of the magnetic resonance imagery lab at the hospital in Victoria , British Columbia . He has taught, and still guest lectures at the University of Victoria , presented research at physiology, education, chiropractic, and wellness conferences, conducted corporate and community wellness workshops, read and critiqued thousands of articles and published in basic science and chiropractic journals. Dr. Chestnut has also been contracted as a research consultant to both design research within the chiropractic wellness paradigm and to critique chiropractic practice guidelines. He has also presented research validating the effectiveness of chiropractic to government health committees and chiropractic and medical students and faculties. Dr. Chestnut’s work to scientifically validate the paradigm of wellness and the leadership role of chiropractic within the field of wellness is revolutionary. In addition to publishing several peer-reviewed scientific articles he has also published four books. His first book, The 14 Foundational Premises for the Scientific and Philosophical Validation of the Chiropractic Wellness Paradigm was recognized with an award of distinction from the International Chiropractic Association (ICA) as a significant contribution to the scientific literature validating chiropractic and is now being used as a textbook in chiropractic colleges. His latest books, The Innate Dietâ„¢, Innate Physical Fitnessâ„¢, and The Innate State of Mindâ„¢ have set the standard for evidence-based wellness care. Dr. Chestnut bases all his work on the scientific evidence regarding what is required for the genetic expression of homeostasis and health regarding eating, moving, and thinking. Dr. Chestnut’s concept of eat well – move well – think well as the lifestyle foundations of health and wellness have not only clarified what a wellness practice is, they have simplified it for both patients and clinicians. Dr. Chestnut is chair of the new ICA Council on Wellness Science and is a member of the ICA Committee on Chiropractic Postgraduate Education. In addition, the ICA has endorsed Dr. Chestnut’s postgraduate certification program “The Wellness Practiceâ„¢ Wellness Certification Program” which is now the first and only recognized continuing education wellness certification in chiropractic history. Dr. Chestnut’s mission is to combine the wellness paradigm, scientific research and chiropractic to create the most evidence-based, most clinically effective wellness doctors in history. He currently lectures around the world presenting research that validates the importance of chiropractic and The Innate Lifestyleâ„¢ which is based on the concept of providing pure and sufficient raw materials for our innate genetic blueprint for health.
