Volumes 1-4 were all performed in the Gi, however, many of the moves can be performed in No-Gi. Volume 5, Octopus Guard, is performed No-Gi. The Octopus Guard is an interesting position that some people may want to try. This set is NOT for beginners. Beginners should worry about learning the basics.
