Ok guys, sorry for the very long delay, I finally managed to re-process the God-damned full 21 CDs, had to go through every one of them 187 audio files again and believe me, there are no dupe files as many persons stated before in the orignal product’s comments area. I can say it was so damn time consuming I won’t attemp this feat again soon! In a nutshell:This is Dr. Paul on steroids and crack! original version is 17:52.27 long , 737.1 megabytes and can be found here: “improved” version is 14:02.32, 241.2 megabytes, so its 1/3 the size and 30% fasterThe Sample is here for those who want to have a hear, if you like it you can keep donwloading the rest of the CDs or if not you save your ratio, and it’s only 9.1 megabytes for the whole CD 1, in RAR formathttp://www.savefile.com/files/1112589Overall, the listening experience is alot more enjoyable and easy to listen, as the quality for voice is better than original upload and the speech pace doesn’t tax your short term memory so much! For those interested in technical details:I basically:1) Normalized and accelerated the speech to 30% keeping the same voice pitch2) Recompressed to 40 kbps MP3 with even better quality than original upload3) Fixed ID3 v2.2 tags4) Fixed filenames to actual description4) Normalized the volume to 0.0dBI used Cubase SX 3 to do this task.1) I decompressed the original uploaded MP3s to PCM WAV 44.1kHz2) Imported it to a new audio file project within Steinberg’s Cubase Sx 3 Audio editor3) Normalized to 0.0dB4) Time-Stretch processed them to the following parameters:Time stretched 75%, MPEX2 algorithm with polyphonic “1” quality settings (best one for spoken voice)(This MPEX algorithm mode is based on Prosoniq’s proprietary MPEX (Minimum Perceived Loss Time Compression/Expansion) algorithm. This algorithm (which is also used in Prosoniq’s TimeFactory™ application) uses an artificial neural network for time series prediction in the scale space domain to achieve high end time and pitch scaling. This gives the best possible audio quality result.5) Fixed filenames6) Fixed ID3 Tags track number7) Fixed ID3 Tags file description8) Re-Compressed to MP3 from original 96 kbps to 40 kbps using Fraunhofer IIS MPEG Layer-3 Codec Professional codec using interleaved stereo, level 4 quality of processing depth (doesn’t affect filesize) 24 000 kHz and for voice this setting is just overkill, the quality is excellent.NOTES:* I didn’t process to mono as audible format, cause many ipods don’t support well this format and hang up* I did convert to audiobook apple m4b for testing purposes, as you know you can playback those and aditional 15% slower, or faster, but the result in my ipod was awful, it sounded like echo and I couldn’t fix it so I kept to the mp3 format* The parts that are flawed from the original recordings couldn’t be fixed ALOT, like when it is really low volume and then Dr. Paul laughes like a mad man pumping up the volume and clipping the audio file* I didn’t made this one exclusive, as the original product wasn’t made exclusive, even if it was obtained through a groupbuy* For those of you who downloaded the original, you can skip the other document files, which are the slides and track listing, I left them here for the ones who never downloaded the original product can get the full pack* Enjoy!
