THE WAR OF THE SEXES is a documentary series that explores the origins of certain sexual stereotypes through a wide-ranging investigation that combines the excitement of a ‘men versus women’ challenge with the latest in scientific research.EPISODE 4: SPATIAL ABILITIESOne of the clearest differences that scientists have noticed between men and women is in something called “spatial abilities.” These are the skills that allow us to situate ourselves in space, judge the speed of a moving object, or compare different shapes of objects. Lab studies suggest that men excel at this, but is it nature or nurture?
