Description

Carlos Castaneda was a hugely influential explorer of personal development, fringe consciousness and non-ordinary states. He is sometimes said to be the founder of the New Age movement. Through a series of ten books, he explored the path to becoming what he called a ‘sorcerer’ or a ‘person of knowledge’. He claimed (probably falsely) to have been taught the gnostic tradition of the Yaqui Indians by an old shaman called Don Juan Matus. Journey to Ixtlan is the third book in the series and arguably the most accessible and most popular. It describes in completely unique prose a series of hallucinogenic visions of other realms. Castaneda is by now starting to recognize the validity of these non-ordinary states of consciousness and integrating them with his common sense to become an initiate in the Yaqui way.(a doc. version of this was already uploaded at , but the product seems to be dead)
