A classic autobiography introduces the work of Carl Jung, while revealing a portrait of the man himself. Focuses on his dreams, visions, premonitions, and insights into the mythic dimension of human experience. Read by Michael York. David DeAngelo talks about Jung’s idea of the ‘Shadow’.  He also talks about archetypes, and Joseph Campbell’s “Hero with a Thousand Faces”.  Campbell himself relied much on Jung’s work in his own studies of mythology.  How does this relate to pickup?  For one, it pertains to the subconscious (‘the unconscious’), which we talk about all the time.  It seems the unconscious (as opposed to the conscious ‘Ego’) has a MUCH bigger impact on shaping your personality than you might imagine.  Other people can see things in you (that come from your unconscious mind) that you may never see… unless you work to uncover these things and incorporate them into your conscious mind.  And this, as David D. reminds us, is incredibly tough work but the results could be life-changing. He wrote this book at age of 83, and has some interesting insights (opinions) on Freud.  When they first met they talked nonstop for 13 hours!  NB: Low bitrate! 24k bits/s
