The Game is a 2005 non-fiction book by author Neil Strauss. In this book I will dissect The Game as a professional but also sceptical pick up artist. The Game gamed millions of guys all around the world. This is one of my main contentions and it is that pick up artists game other guys better than they game women a lot of the time. You can see evidence of this on their Twitter, Facebook, and YouTube, where they have some thousands of likes, followings, and subscribers of a male bent.In the opening pages of Neil’s book, he dedicates it to the thousands of women he talked to, presumably while out gaming, and he lists the locations as: clubs, bars, subways, malls, grocery stores, airports, and elevators (not in that order). He mentions that was over a period of two yearsNow as a professional pick up artist I can tell you that once yourapproach count gets into the thousands you become a forever changed man. Take note though, because even if he has slept with 500 women, that would still be a success rate of well below 50%. Just having a little understanding of math here in this brief little portion of the beginning of his book can help you get a grasp of the real reality of the situation. Many self-proclaimed professional seducers claim to be able to seduce any woman they want and that would be a 100% success rate if it were true. You can easily tell from their approach count to lay count ratio whether that is true or not and let me just tell you, it is not. I’ve lived in a PUA mansion and I’ve seen the best of them get rejected. That doesn’t mean seduction isn’t real though. It just means getting rejected is part of seduction, just like getting knocked the fuck out is part of being a boxer, unless you’re Floyd Mayweather. Oh, and don’t let that example fool you into thinking it’s possible to be an infallible seducer because Floyd is an infallible boxer. He would get knocked the fuck out by the best heavyweight. Rejection isn’t akin to getting knocked out though. It’s actually closer to being about as frequent as simply getting punched in a boxing match. Pick up artists get rejected a lot if they are approaching a lot. If they are not approaching a lot, they are either burned out, or are theoretical pick up artists like David De Angelo…There were times when I was living in impressive locations in a nice desirable apartment and at those times I would bring the women back but even that became a problem because I was just sleeping with them and then largely moving on but they would then know where I live and sometimes they would stalk me a bit. You see, in reality, you can’t make a woman so attracted to you that she begins having sex with you, and then ditch her, not answering her calls or responding to her texts, without there sometimes being some consequences to that. One woman was living in a flatshare with 12 men, many of whom worked as nightclub bouncers, and I wasn’t popular with them after picking her up and moving on and I got into some tricky situations with a couple of them due to that. If you’re going to be bringing women back to your place, then your seduction won’t just be about getting them, it will also be about getting rid of them…I mean, even with this book here, I’m hoping what I write will give you, the reader, the tools you need to succeed in dating. The most common problem I’ve encountered as a pick up coach is guys that simply cannot or perhaps will not approach.Persuading them to do the approaches necessary has been an insurmountable task in not just some but the majority of cases. One way around this that I found, was to charge the absolute bare minimum for my wingship and basically take them out every week and initiate the approaches myself, with them standing there able to chip into the conversation here and there. The problem with this was they could only be successful with my hands on help and it really drained me to be doing that many days a week and there just wasn’t enough of me to go around and help every guy that needed help. There are millions of guys that need help in this area and there’s only one of me. So what I began working on was how to persuade guys to do the necessary approaches. I’ve seen tens of thousands of guys go through PUA Training bootcamps. If all of them had really taken it on board and just went out one day per week doing approaches then the streets would always be filled with guys doing it like it is filled with street charity fundraisers if it’s a busy high street.
