Description

Art VanDerLay (Matt Townsend) Mentalism GB Game Of Three An impromptu effect for those “Show me something!” moments. Can be done in person or over the phone. EFFECT A spectator is invited to remove any three items that they have upon themselves and to place them onto a table and into any order they desire. You secretly write something onto a business card and hand it to the spectator for safe keeping – you never touch this again. They are then instructed to mentally select any one of the 3 items – they do not write anything down or tell anyone. You proceed to ask the spectator a few questions – you ask the same question each time which is: “Is you’re object one of these two?” whilst you hold up different objects each time. The spectator can lie or tell the truth to these questions – you do not know in advance what they will say. You then reveal which object the spectator was thinking of and whether they were lying or telling the truth. The spectator is then asked to mix the objects up whilst your back is turned – no peeking! You reveal the location of the first object immediately. The spectator is now asked to pick up both of the objects so they have one in each hand. You instantly reveal the location of one of the remaining objects. Finally the business card you handed them earlier is opened by the spectator to reveal which object would be left and which hand it will be in too.
