It takes times to absorb the material and open to our own “spiritual inner voice”, with honesty and unconditional love. After reading the book I was fortunate to attend Brugh’s workshop and learn in more depth about chakras, the I Ching, dreamwork, and other spiritual tools. A great read, an honest and insightful teacher.4.0 out of 5 stars Excellent book April 7, 2001By A CustomerMr. Joy combines a tale of his own personal spiritual journey with fairly mainstream yogic ideas concerning body energy, chakras, spiritual plane, etc. I found this book to be a very interesting read. Mr. Joy writes in a clear language that probably relates back to his training as a medical doctor. In terms of spiritual path, this book is not as “beginner” as The Celestine Prophesy.I do not understand the views of a couple of the other reviewers here regarding the “voice” heard by Mr. Joy…a voice could be loosely interpreted as our intuition or subconscious or even a spirit guide.Personally, I regret not having taken one of Mr. Joy’s seminars; he is now on a two year sabbatical.Please contribute back by OCRing and Spellcheck/Proofreading this book. I recommend ABBYY Finereader 11 (or similar) for doing this work in a relatively easy way. If you plan to do that please leave a comment here so the effort won’t be duplicated by others.
