Notes on Spiritual Discourses of Shri Atmananda Vol 1,2,3 (1-1451 Notes) CompleteMany consider  Atmananda Krishna Menon one of the three titans of Twentieth Century advaita teaching; a short list that also included Sri Ramana Maharshi and Sri Nisargadatta Maharaj…..He was unique in that he held a career as a legal advocate for the government and an Inspector with the police.Born in 1883, it is said that Krishna Menon prayed incessantly throughout his life to meet a true sat guru, an authentic teacher or enlightened rishi/saint. Eventually, this led to his first encounter in Calcutta with a Swami Yogananda, not to be confused with Parmahansa Yogananda, the guru who introduced many westerners to Kriya Yoga and meditation. His meeting lasted only one night, but altered the course of his life. Practicing Bhakti and Raja Yoga as well as jnana yoga, the path of knowledge, Krishna Menon realized the Self in 1923, becoming known as Sri Atmananda.  Later, after he began to teach, he only used jnana yoga, openly criticizing Bhakti and Raja Yogas. He called his teachings “The Direct Path” Gregg Goode and Jean Klein are followers of him.Volume 1, 2, and 3 a collection of spiritual discourses by Shri Atmananda (Krishna Menon, 1883-1959), a living representative of the tradition of Advaita Vedanta and one of the great sages of the modern world. The discourses were recorded during the period of 1950 to 1959 by a trusted disciple. They are short and masterful talks on realizing the Truth through a recognition that our nature is always pure Consciousness.Amazon linkhttp://www.amazon.com/Notes-Spiritual-Discourses-Shri-Atmana…(This shows only Vol 3)Note: I have combined Vol 1, 2, and 3 all in 1 PDF for you. This is a rare find indeed. Shri Atmananda is up there with the other great Advaita teachers. The reason he is not well known is books or lack of them. His teachings are not easily understood by most as he speaks from his own experience never from theory.EnjoyBaba13
