This is a really innovative, interesting, and useful book for guitarists at an intermediate to advanced level.  The idea is to improvise via an intervallic system, as opposed to being a slave to certain scale or arpeggio shapes.  Theoretically, this can free a player up from constantly thinking “What key am I in?  What scale should I play?” to thinking more in terms of melodic phrases as they are built up (as opposed to taking a scale and breaking it down.  The author explains the concept behind the book was to have no rote exercises but rather that every single item provided in the book was to a lick that a player could incorporate while improvising!  Pretty cool, right?!  And it also makes for a very effective, efficient, and fun way to practice.Enjoy!
