The locations range from high-end dining rooms to casual neighborhood treasures, and even roving eateries with no permanent addresses. We seek out the most amazing examples of modern dining across America.Season 11 :01×01 – Comfort FoodsMay/31/2010The crew visits New York City to tour four unique restaurants that specialize in comfort foods. First on the route is eco-friendly Bark Hotdogs where all of the condiments are made from scratch. Next in line is The Meatball Shop where you’re allowed to customize your own meatball meal. The third stop is the Shake Shack in Madison Square Park where people line up daily for a ShackBurger and Concrete shake. Their final stop is Buttermilk Channel in Brooklyn for some spectacular chicken and waffles.2 :01×02 – MeatsMay/31/2010The crew visits Churrascaria Plataforma to try their all-you-can-eat Brazilian steakhouse. Then they move on to DBGB for an assortment of fourteen sausage varieties all made in-house. Lastly, they hit Minetta Tavern where they focus on two of their house specialties: a 40+ ounce Côte de Boeuf and their Black Label Burger.3 :01×03 – DessertsJun/14/2010The team visits Babycakes, where they make vegan cupcakes and doughnuts out of agave nectar, garbanzo fava bean flour, rice milk, and fruit purees. Next they hit the streets to find the Van Leeuwen ice cream truck where the ice cream is all natural and spectacular. Four & Twenty Blackbirds is the last stop to try some of their incredible seasonal pies. One of their specialties is the Salted Caramel Apple Pie where black pepper and Angostura bitters give the pie a unique flavor.4 :01×04 – GastropubsJun/21/2010The crew heads first to Chicago to dine at the Publican, where they try the oysters, pork rinds, and a dish call Ham Chop “In Hay”. Back in NYC is The Breslin where they check out the terrine boards, the lamb burger, thrice cooked fries, and an amazing beef tongue sandwich. Last up is Gus and Gabriel where they feature the artisanal hot-dogs, mexi mac and cheese, tater tots, and triple-chocolate-caramel ice cream sandwich.5 :01×05 – Hand-Held EatsJul/12/2010XOCO in Chicago serves up the mouth-watering Torta Ahogada, churros, churros, and mexican hot chocolate that they make from beans all in-shop. The Grilled Cheese Truck in Los Angeles offers a variety of sandwiches, but their specialties are the Cheesy Mac and Rib and the S’More Melt. Also in LA, The Gorbals unique items are the GLT and bacon wrapped matzoh balls.
